Paulina Quinteros graduated from WAAPA and joined Paul Mercurio's Australian Choreographic Ensemble (ACE) as a dancer.
She has won both the Peggy van Praagh Award for Choreography and the Sir Robert Helpmann Award for Professional Choreography, received an Emerging Artist Grant from the Australia Council and two Choreographic Fellowships from the Choreographic Centre in Canberra.
She has created numerous works for festivals and companies including Australian Ballet, Queensland Ballet, The Australian Dance Awards, Carnivale, WAAPA, VCA, UNSW, Bondi Ballet.
She collaborated with Australian composer Ross Edwards for the awarding of the Sydney Peace Prize to Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and choreographed Edwards' Oboe Concerto.
In 2014 Paulina won the NSW AICD Dance Creation choreographic competition allowing her work 'Golijov's Yearning' to be presented at Melbourne's Malthouse Theatre.
In 2015 Paulina was invited by Artistic Director Li Cunxin to work with Queensland Ballet choreographing two new works for their 2016 Dance Dialogues season.
2016 she travelled to Perth to work at WAAPA choreographing a new work "The Circus of Dreams".
On the 23rd of September 2016, Paulina presented her premiere season of "La Choreografia" and launched her newly formed dance company "Danza del Arte" in Sydney Australia at The Seymour Centre Everest Theatre.
"La Choreografia" won 2016 Sydney Fringe Dance Award, and received a wonderful review from Jill Sykes published in the Sydney Morning Herald.

Subsequently Paulina was invited to present her work to the Chilean Ambassador Mr Daniel Carvallo, The Trade Commissioner and members of the Australian Navy and Chilean public.
In 2017 Paulina has created two new dance works, "One Glass" and "Illuminae" for this year's event of The Dancer's Directive performance in Sydney NSW.
Paulina was invited to choreograph and teach in Singapore in November of 2018 and to create a work for Queensland Ballet’s ‘Aspire’ Season in Sept 2018.

In March 2019 Paulina choreographed EMBRACE a new work for The Australian Ballet Company Gala memorial as a tribute in honour of the late Dame Margaret Scott.presented at the State Theatre of Victoria

n 2020 Paulina choreographed DOMUS in collaboration with renown Australian Composer Elena Kats-Chernin. This work was premiered at NIDA in Sydney.
Her works have been nominated for awards, have received exceptional reviews, and standing ovations.
She has collaborated with some of Australia’s most prolific & celebrated artists such as composers Elena Kats-Chernin AO, Ross Edwards, and Archibald recipient Wendy Sharpe.
Paulina produced and choreographed Water-Mirror premiered at THE PARRAMATTA RIVERSIDE THEATRES the work has been nominated for Best Dance award in 2022 & 2023, has received exceptional reviews and standing ovations. Her work TRIPTICO performed at ARA Darling Harbour Theatre in December 2023 to a laudatory five-star review.
Paulina received an invitation from Marilyn Jones OBE former Australian Ballet Company and AICD’s Artistic Director to create the AICD’s first contemporary dance syllabus.

Paulina has given dance master classes at leading Australian Summer Schools, such as the National College of Dance . She has been a Sydney Eisteddfod dance adjudicator for over 20 years, and has participated in fundraising event such as the Dancers Directive, Water for the Children of Zimbabwe and charity organisations such as MSF, UNICEF and World Vision.
Paulina continues to work tirelessly towards the creation of new work and new artistic opportunities for herself and her collaborators.
Paulina is a dance teacher, a New York certified Pilates instructor since 1999, a Gyrotonic and Gyrokinesis teacher since 2006, and an avid Yoga practitioner.
